We would like to welcome you to an exciting evening we shall be hosting for year seven parents. This will take place on the London Road site on Tuesday 13th October between 5.00 and 7.30pm. Throughout the evening there will be a number of optional talks aimed at introducing some of the systems we have in place here at Wrenn and to equip you with all the information both you and your child will need to succeed.
The talks will be as follows:
Behaviour for Learning at Wrenn
A guide to the behaviour and reward systems used within Wrenn Academy and how they can be used to support your child’s learning.
Wrenn Academy Technology – A beginners guide
An introduction to the different ICT programmes we use at Wrenn including ‘Show My Homework’, Moodle and the Sharp System. By understanding these systems we can work together as a team to encourage learning and good working practices.
How is data used at Wrenn to support your child’s progress?
This talk is designed to help you understand the different data you will receive from the school and how to use this to support your children’s progress. A part of the talk will also introduce the ‘Passport for Success’ which will bridge the gap between home and school by providing clarity on how your child can keep improving throughout their core subjects.
The talks will be repeated throughout the evening but in order to avoid disappointment you will need to contact London Road reception on 01933 222039 to book an appropriate time.
There will also be an opportunity to meet informally with your child’s form tutor and the SEN department who will be available to answer any questions you may have.
