On Sunday 21st February, our Year 11 Boys team played their next game in the county adult league. They were playing Wellingborough Falcons, based at Weavers Academy. This team weren’t to be underestimated as they had beaten some teams that we have lost to. However, our boys didn’t listen to those warnings and spent much of the first set catching up from half term and not focusing on their game, and not surprising that we lost the first set 25-23.

That did wake the boys up though and a combination of better serving and playing 3 touch volleyball helped the boys to success in the second set, winning 25-19. The third set started as a tight battle with neither team gaining many points over the opposition; however, from about 15-15 the boys kicked on and won the set 25-17. The fourth set continued in a similar pattern to set 3 and the boys won that 25-20. So after a poor start the boys turned it around.

Two games remain in the adult league, Sunday 20th March against Wellingborough Falcons again and then the last game of the season is against Milton Keynes on 21st March.
