Welcome back to a new Wrenn, a new era where expectations will be raised and ambitions realised. There has been a fantastic start to the new academic year and I was so proud to see how smart all our students looked in their uniform and I would like to thank all the parents in supporting us. We are raising the standards and expectations at Wrenn with a renewed energy and the “I can achieve” attitude around school, is inspiring.

I have been impressed with how well our new Year 7 students have settled into life at Wrenn. Some were nervous about making the transition to high school, but Mrs Hales and her Year 7 team were ever present to offer support and guidance, to ensure every child settled into their daily routines.

I would like to welcome to Wrenn our new Year 12 students who have joined us from other Wellingborough Schools. They too have made a terrific start and already making new friends. I know they will be an excellent addition to our school.  I also want to give a warm welcome to our new staff who have added to the strength of our teaching and learning throughout the school.

The students and existing staff have given everyone a warm welcome and they are already making a significant impact around school.

Our aim is to unlock the capability of every student and we will work tirelessly to ensure that every child reaches their full potential, with no limits to what they can achieve. We expect outstanding levels of achievement and progress in both academic and personal development. We will raise aspirations and actively challenge our expectations.

Wrenn is an exciting and stimulating place to learn and we take seriously that our students only get one chance at an outstanding education. We have seen applications into our Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 escalate over the summer and parents are beginning to recognise that Wrenn provides an excellent all round education.

My staff and Governing body, old and new, are all excited about the future at Wrenn. I would not swap my staff with those of any other school.  The Wrennaissance is well under way and I hope you all embrace our vision in creating an outstanding school where every child receives an excellence education, to give them the best chance in life. This year is going to be outstanding.
