Last week the year 11 Latin group visited this very interesting site managed by the National Trust. The villa is situated at the head of a valley and is protected from the elements on three sides. It is located near Cirencester and was among a group of Romano-British settlements in the area chosen for its good agricultural land and proximity to the Fosse Way, a Roman road which went from Exeter to Lincoln.
