Teacher of Art (Maternity Cover)
Required for September 2010 Teacher of Art (Maternity Cover)
We are looking for a committed and talented teacher to join our successful and enthusiastic Art team to cover a maternity leave. As currently planned, cover will be needed between the start of the Autumn Term and 11th February 2011.
Taught in modern, purpose-built accommodation, Art is a popular subject in all key stages. We have established an enviable record of success at GCSE and A/AS-level, where both Fine Art and Applied Art are offered. The school has its own art gallery which regularly hosts exhibitions of work by our own students and by visiting artists.
Art is a popular subject, and students of all ages spend much of their spare time in the department practising their skills.
Situated in pleasant surroundings in the town of Wellingborough, Wrenn is a popular school with a brilliant staff who have helped make it oversubscribed for many years. Expectations are high. The students are enthusiastic and friendly, and their behaviour was described in our most recent OfSTED report (September 2009) as “consistently good throughout the school”.
