Sixth Form Events Print

At Wrenn we believe students can learn much from visits to other places and encourage as many Sixth Form students to participate in them. Annual trips include:

University Open Day visit
This takes place towards the end of Year 12. The aim is to visit a local(ish) university and to support students with this. Hopefully they will then have the confidence to visit other Open Days independently or with friends.

Social Trips
In the past Heads of School and enterprising students have organised evening trips (Bowling in Milton Keynes, followed by Christmas shopping has often proved popular) The Sixth Form team are willing to support these events, so get organising!

Field Trips
A number of subjects, most notably Biology, English and Geography run field trips to suppport learning in the classroom and the writing of coursework.
However, many other subjects run trips to conferences, theatre, museums, businesses and the like. We advise you to take up these opportunities as far as you can.

Financial Issues
EMA and the Student Support Fund from NCC have been designed to provide funds to enable student participation on school trips. If you have any particular financial concerns and this is the only reason preventing your attendance, please see the Head or Assistant Head of Sixth Form; we will see if we can help.
