The school values close contact, as we believe this to be in the best interest of our pupils. Prospective parents are invited to the school in the Autumn Term and are given the opportunity to ask any questions they wish. In July we invite the parents of all new entrants to an evening at which detailed information is given.
Staff are available for consultation at one meeting per year for each year group, one parent/pupil consultation day and to discuss particular problems at any time. It is helpful, though not essential, to make an appointment.
Our School Association of parents and teachers aims to strengthen links between home and school. It gives opportunities for social activities and for meetings concerned with educational matters and it provides funds for the school. All parents are automatically members of the Association and are eligible for the committee.
We are grateful for the support given by our parents over a number of years. They have provided equipment for clubs and societies and, by supporting major fund raising efforts, have made it possible for us to by our minibus, printers and other teaching aids. They have provided refreshments at school functions and assisted us with our self help schemes. But, perhaps the most important of all, they have helped us to establish an atmosphere of easy, friendly relationships in which the educational work of the school goes on. We look forward to continuing these happy relationships.
If you wish to discuss any issues relating to the school with parents, please contact the school and we will happily put you in touch with someone who lives in your area.
