“PROUD TO BE WRENN”

I have been overwhelmed by the support from parents and students about some of the recent changes we have made, especially the re-enforcing of the existing uniform policy. We are raising the standards at Wrenn School, students are wearing their uniform with pride and have a positive attitude about their future. Our new mission statement “Proud to be Wrenn” is starting to take effect and I thank the students and staff for their input into this process.

I have been in post for 3 full weeks and I can say whole heartedly that I am the luckiest Headteacher in Northamptonshire. I have an exciting opportunity to raise aspirations and the life chances of ALL our students and develop the careers of inspirational teachers and leaders. Wrenn School and the community it serves is a special place and I am PROUD to be part of it. We are committed to making improvements along our journey to outstanding, for the benefit of ALL our students. Therefore I ask the following questions:

“Do you want an outstanding school where ALL students have an opportunity to achieve outstanding results?”

“Do you want an outstanding school where the behaviour and attitude of ALL students is outstanding and respectful?”

“Do you want lessons to be delivered by outstanding and inspiring teachers, giving your child the best opportunity to thrive and flourish?”

I do and I am sure you feel the same! However I can’t do this on my own, all parents, students, staff, Sponsors and Governors, collectively have a part to play and a responsibility to support us along this outstanding journey.

I am looking forward to meeting parents over the next few weeks during our Year 9 options evening and our up and coming parent consultations. I urge you to come and feel the excitement amongst the staff and hear how we are going to deliver an excellent education to the children of ALL backgrounds and raise the aspirations within our community. Thank you for your continued support.
