We sincerely hope that your Sixth Form years will be your happiest school years, but we are also aware that for some the pressures of exams and of becoming an adult can be difficult. We want to reinforce to our students that the Sixth Form Team are always on hand and ready to offer a listening ear if it will help. However, if you prefer to keep matters more private (and you are perfectly entitled to do so), you can use the following links to gain more information about confidential support: General Personal Issues
If you are worried or feel pressured and need help, we strongly recommend Service Six and The Samaritans. Both have been used (and appreciated) by students in the past; they will never turn you away so, however bad you feel at the time, you are never on your own.
Service Six who are based in Rock Street, Wellingborough can be contacted on (01933) 226602 or by e-mail:

The Samaritans are a national organisation but have a local unit based at Kettering. If you contact them the person you speak to gives you only their first name and a number, so not only you can keep your identity confidential, so can they. Samaritans are (trained) volunteers and may work in another completely different occupation; it is not helpful to either party if his/her identity as a Samaritan is known. The Samaritans can be contacted on 08457 90 90 90 or by e-mail:

So if you feel lonely, stressed, upset or alone please don’t bottle it up; this approach could make matters worse. Talk to a teacher or someone trained to help.
