GCSE Geography results are consistently above the National Average, and students also do comparably better in Geography than with their other subjects.
In 2008, 85% of students achieved A* - C in GCSE.
Our A/S and A-Level results are consistently good. In 2008 the A/S pass level A-E was 87% and the A-Level A-E pass rate was 93%.
Recent trips out have included a week residential to Overstrand in Norfolk, day trips to Hunstanton, Birmingham, London Docklands and the Natural History Museum along with local studies around Wellingborough.
In the Geography department we feel that it is vital for all students to learn new techniques and to develop key skills such as analysing the wealth of countries, the global impact of natural hazards and globalisation that will enable them to become sustainable citizens of planet Earth.
At KS3 we offer challenging courses that allow our students to be inquisitive about their surroundings through such topics as Exploring Britain, Japan, Rainforests and how we exploit them, Geography and Sport, Population Studies and Flooding.
