How will students be assessed?

Students are assessed using a foundation GCSE paper for each Census Point. High achieving students have the opportunity to sit a higher GCSE paper. This introduces students to exam topics and terminology as soon as possible.

The Maths department at Wrenn Academy uses the mymaths and mathswatch websites to support pupils with their learning. Probing questions and GCSE questions are used in KS3 to help prepare students for the rigours of the new GCSE. Pupils can also attend Maths club after school on Thursdays focusing on investigations and extra support with homework

Exploring Maths text books, individually created powerpoints, past GCSE questions for stretching more able, games and investigations.
